Project Description

The CPV Three Rivers Energy Center is a state-of-the-art electric generating facility designed to meet the future electricity demands of the greater Chicago area , filling the need for efficient, reliable electric generating resources created by the retirement of older, less-efficient coal and oil generators. The nearly $1 billion privately-funded energy infrastructure project is proposed for an industrially-zoned area in an un-incorporated section of Grundy County about 50 miles southwest of Chicago. The site is proximate to the Exelon’s Dresden Generating Station, General Electric’s nuclear storage facility and Reichhold Manufacturing. CPV is committed to using Local Union Labor!
