The $34 billion dollar Capital Bill is a crucial investment in our schools, roads, bridges, airports and transit systems.

• 75% of our state highways are more than 40 years old and are near the end of their original design life.
• Although Illinois’ bridges are ranked 5th safest in the country, more than 700 are rated poorly and in need of repairs.
• Illinois’ State Colleges have not had significant resources for campus improvements for nearly 10 years.
• Illinois’ schools report the need of more than 13,000 classroom repair, renovation and expansion projects.

In addition to improving our quality of life, the Capital Bill will invigorate our economy and put hundreds of thousands of workers on jobsites throughout the State of Illinois.

We need to send a message to our elected officials that enough is enough. We need to move Illinois forward.
